Stem Cell Exploration. This work was featured in the Stem cell Exhibit at the Ontario Science Center, August to October, 2011. It explores the multiple facets of this new scientific adventure, and represents the positive growth and knowledge that comes from it.
A little project done last year for Graphic Translation class. Biomimicry is all about taking inspiration from animals and using their natural characteristics to enhance a product’s design. Take a sunflower’s seed distribution and implement the order into packaging in boxes. A peacock worm uses special thin filaments to gather it’s microscopic food, in the ocean. Based on its natural characteristic, I designed a flying machine that would simultaneously gather solar energy (self-sustaining design) as well as clean the air using similarly-built cleaning filaments. Since the main focus is on the design of the animal and the new product, all supporting material is reduced in detail.
